I have been collecting Star Wars autographs since 1998.  Not all of my signatures are on Star Wars memorabilia.  For example, when I met Warwick Davis at a comic convention in New York City, I had him sign a Willow photograph.  I also have publicity photos of Sir Alec Guinness and Christopher Lee from the 1970s, and a Natalie Portman signed The Diary of Anne Frank theater poster from her performance on Broadway back in 1998.  My current wish list includes Peter Cushing, Terence Stamp and John Williams.  I am interested in knowing about the collections and wish lists of other members.

I know JD is their modern celeb guy now and either he nailed it, or someone there got confused and stickered an authentic piece by accident.

A perfect set in every way, likely signed on the press junket in 1983.

Has JSA been that bad?

All I will speak about is what I know, their celebrity authentication has been a complete failure, they seriously get as much wrong as GAI. Star Wars items with JSA sticker are usually a horror show. They still to this day insist upon authenticating secretarial Carrie Fishers, and some of the worst forgeries of Hamill and Ford that I have ever seen.

With JD now one of their experts, I had high hopes that things would improve, but from what I have seen lately, it certainly seems that they continue to to try and do it "in house," instead of asking Mr. Bardwell to look at items.

I seem to recall someone here on this forum relating Mr. Epperson's comment about not seeing items that have JSA stickers, so they seem to have a long history of not using the services of their experts.

Tpa's seem to be ruining the hobby in my opinion, I know they can be solid but look at the back and forth in passing and failing items.

We need a system overhaul!

Honestly,I value Pete and ferarra's opinion as well as a few others over psa and jsa...
I thought it looked fine, I only hesitated because of the JSA letter. Funny how that works. What do you think value wise?

Value is so subjective. 10 years ago when people had money and some big guns were still buying this stuff up, it was probably $2,000-$2,500.

3 years ago in a crappy economy with fewer buyers maybe as low as $500.

At this moment still in a lousy economy, you add in the Ep7 hype and you may be back up to $1,000.

I paid $525 for it

that sticker saved you half!

I know! And people think TPA's are worthless.

Bwahahaha

Good deal Mike T.  Congratulations.
