Star Wars Collectors Unite!

I have been collecting Star Wars autographs since 1998. Not all of my signatures are on Star Wars memorabilia. For example, when I met Warwick Davis at a comic convention in New York City, I had him sign a Willow photograph. I also have publicity photos of Sir Alec Guinness and Christopher Lee from the 1970s, and a Natalie Portman signed The Diary of Anne Frank theater poster from her performance on Broadway back in 1998. My current wish list includes Peter Cushing, Terence Stamp and John Williams. I am interested in knowing about the collections and wish lists of other members.

Well, sorry I have been MIA for awhile. Been incredibly busy. Finally have something cool to share with you guys thanks to a trade with my friend Mark Roberts. It's an 11x14 Emoire Strikes Back poster signed by Prowse, Jones, Oz, Fisher,and Mayhew. Very excited to add this to my Star Wars collection! I would like to add Ford, Hamill, Williams, and Lucas to it at least.

Can you think of any Star Wars or other celebrities who disappears for decades and then reappeared? David Seideman is writing a column for Forbes on Choo Choo Coleman, who was out of the public eye for 40 years before appearing at an autograph show in 2012.

Any input for David?

One name that comes to mind is Spencer Milligan, not a Star Wars actor but memorable as Rick Marshall in the Land Of The Lost and so many tv shows of the 70's.

He has yet to pop up at a show to sign but he did sign some trading cards for a company last year, after being off the radar since the 80's.

Star Wars is chock full of minor players that left film after portraying beloved characters, only to resurface decades later at conventions to cash in on their autograph values. None of them are "household names."

That is a great question Steve, but it is more appropriate for the late 1990s. Star Wars celebrities were reborn at that time. I would suggest that David research that particular time period.

I cant help but notice it is always Oz personalizing on posters with no other personalizations. Does he get a kick out of doing that out of spite or something?
