Everybody loves to brag when they get a great item for a great price. How bout that time you wanted something so much you didn't care what you had to spend to get it! What is the most cash you've ever spent on a single autograph? How much would you be willing to spend on an autograph that you've been on the hunt for?

When Heath Ledger passed, I knew a few of the guys chasing him in Chicago to get him on Joker photos and I got scans and pics of all the pieces they had seen or got. A few months later one of the nicest signed pieces went up for auction and I decided to snag it. I guess a few other people knew what it was, and before I knew it ....the auction ending at 10pm had been repeatedly extended by 10 minutes until about 2am.

All in, it was probably under $1500 and I have been offered 3x's that, so I guess it was an ok buy. For Modern Actors, he is as close as Hollywood has come to Brando, James Dean, or whatever iconic figure you want to name. A Joker 8x10 signed by Heath is as good as it gets.

Wow that is amazing!

Great story and amazing item, Pete. Here's to an "ok" buy.....ha.
I think if someone offered me $4500 for that, I'd do it.

I am a firm believer that everything has it's price. I am a Marvel guy anyway....someday I will let it go free.

Yes, yes, yes. Everything has a price.

Agreed.

It's a great piece. I can't blame you for not letting it go.
That's a great piece. I loved the movie, and Ledger gave an amazing performance. I think he was on a trajectory to be one of the greats. His extremely early passing was such a sad thing.

Around $20-$25 dollars,as many charge that amount for an 8X10 autograph at Comic Conventions and the like.I think Linda Blair was $35.

Well, I don't know if this counts as a "single" autograph, but the mosT I've spent was $24,000 for a copy of "Beatles For Sale" which is the 4th UK Studio Album. Only 3 are known to exist.
