Beatles autographs

I have a program from a 1964 Nation wide tour (The Beatles and Mary Wells) Page 1 inside the cover includes autographs from each of the four. I would like a better idea about them before I invest any money for an "Official Authentication" Here is the scan.

Well with numerous "top shelf" dealers willing to allow the forgeries be out there like they have done. I guess that nobody in this industry can or should be trusted. Fraud even after the fact is still fraud.

I did loolk up the statute of limitation for a written contract (COA) is 4 to 8 years.

fraud is 4 to 5 years.

So at the end of the day I fell for it hook line and sinker, now there is nothing I can do about it except value the experience as a lesson.

The statute of limitations may start when you discover the fraud. And criminal statutes and rules are often different than civil ones. You looked up civil rules for fraud, right?

I did indeed look up the civil rules. I suppose I should just talk to my attorney and let them do what they do. My investment is less than a $1,000.00 so it may not be worth pursuing. As prolific as Joe Long was I can't believe that he hasn't faced a judge or two.

If you collect autographs your bound to get burnt once in a while, unfortunately there are people in the hobby and companies that sell forgeries all day long.
If you were to go out and find a real set of Beatles autographs now, your looking at thousands.

I'm hip I purchased these as an investment. If they were real I was most likely to auction them off with a minimum start at around 16k.

So much for the new roof gutters and windows.

I don't know if he has or hasn't been sued. I didn't know about him until 2007-8.

I've got auction catalogs from the early 90's with Joe Long stuff in it. When he was"outed" by Frank Caiazzo...people who bought stuff from Joe Long didn't want to believe it....but by the time they did...it was too late. I started hearing about Joe Long around 2002. He would sell the good stuff...and then mix in the forgeries. Nobody at that time seemed to notice.

Don't be too hard on yourself. When Joe Long and Rockographs were in business we didn't have access to the plethora of materials that we have today that help to provide authentication against liars and cheats like him. One of those resources is this one. Every day there are tons of forgeries exposed here. The fact that Joe Long was, and must still be, such a lowlife is the kind of thing that would make a decent person worry that he will rot in hell for. My guess is that Joe is reading this like the rat he is. Sorry about your new roof, gutters and windows.
