I can't speak intelligently about the signature, but I can say from experience...unless it is Upper Deck Authenticated with matching paperwork, you don't want it, or any other Jordan.
Yes it costs more, but without the UD COA and sticker, you might as well light your money on fire.
I'd disagree, especially if you want an early full name Jordan, but this one is not authentic either way IMO.
I don't collect Jordan, strictly speaking from a retailer point of view here. We have had some great Jordan pieces in the last 12 years, and pieces without UD COAs die here. We have had lesser pieces with UD COA and they sell.
Hardcore Jordan autograph collectors know what they are looking at, the average Joe.....if he doesn't have that UD logoto make him feel all warm and fuzzy, he walks away.
I agree with Pete.
Jordan, Tiger Woods, Gretzky, LeBron... sure there are authentic signatures out there without UD paperwork. But they are few and far between. In my opinion, long term value of any Jordan will be with the UD items. They are witnessed COAs. JSA, PSA... opinion COAs. And they are only as good as the reputation of the source of the opinion. Who knows what reputation JSA will have a decade from now. Another Greg Marino could be out there getting items passed one after another as we speak.
For a big ticket sports autograph like Jordan, I'd spend the extra on the UD sticker without a second thought.
Thanks guys for your advice
