Love the Munsters too!

Back in the early 2000s, there was a great site detailing the cast signing habits. I've since not been able to find the site but remember the owner was a personal friend of Beverly Owen so he had some autographs.

Only ones I have are Butch (friend got IP at Hollywood Show), Pat and Al who were represented by Pat's son handling their ttms.

For whatever reason, possibly some main cast being deceased, Munsters never seems to get the love from mass collectors that I think it should.

Heres my IP. And yes, nice lady.

Shown it before, but anyway. My wifes family met him at a rest/bar in MD. She only remembers he was very nice to them. IP (in person).

Now that is one special piece! That's incredible. Given that apparently, Fred was not a prolific signer, coupled with the art work, that has to be worth a bit. I absolutely loved watching the reruns of The Munsters everyday after school. And I have turned on two of my nephews, ages 9 and 11, to The Munsters. They LOVE the show.

My pleasure. It as my wifes only autograph. He was by himself and they just walked up to him and told him how much they loved the show. Her father recognized him and it was somewhere around 1980. The Hollywood show had  Lewis,De Carlo, Patrick photos for sale. I haven't checked lately but still might .

Hi, I haven't seen that one but if you google Fred Gwynne autograph images, there are a few out there including mine. Funny how pretty close they are so he did quite a few. I've also seen some bad ones the forgers have put out. I have mixed feelings on mine out there for all to see or copy but at least its an authentic example. Always keep it in mind if you post anything on the web!

There is a song out by fall out boy "Uma Thurman" which uses the Munsters music. This aint an easy thread to keep goin so I thought Id throw that out.

I love that episode, Scott, where Fred plays both characters.

He certainly was.

He was also in 'On The Waterfront."

Him and Al Lewis were hilarious in "Car 54, Where Are You?"

+1

Beverley Owen is certainly the most difficult cast member to obtain as she does not respond to requests and is not interested in meeting fans. There are a lot of fakes and since her signature is so rare, it can be difficult to authenticate. I have created this chart with dates for reference (1982 and 1998 are from signed documents using her married name Stone.) As you can see, her signature has hardly changed at all over the years and her handwriting is very distinct. This would be an extremely difficult signature to replicate with so many unique, consistent points in the signature. I personally own two (1965 and 1971) after over a decade of searching and finding a reasonable price.
