Was just wondering why PSA charge double the amount than JSA for Ali authentication?

They probably have a better reputation for sports but I would rather use JSA for the price.

I would also go with JSA for the price differential. Honestly, both companies are overall well-regarded in the hobby so you would be fine with either, and why not save $75? PSA charges $250 for Prince, while JSA charges $150. That's a big difference.

That is a big difference, I am quite surprised at how the prices are so different from the companies.

Well respected? Only by those silly enough to believe they have your best interest at heart.

Both companies have sold out the hobby long ago. All about the bottom line.....nothing more. They don't care if they make mistakes cause either way they got paid.

Why are they charging those prices to begin with? Did Ali get more difficult to authenticate when he died?

Just further insight as to what those two companies are actually about.

Interestingly, PSA charges $50 for Koufax, and JSA charges $75.

Think I may have found out why JSA is cheaper from this:

That's a JSA auction LOA. A whole different animal. It's common to see them used to sell forgeries after the auction, since there's no image on it.

Thanks Steve, never knew of their auction LOA's, very interesting and glad I'm aware of them now.
