We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Just called my local B&N and they didn't see any signed items on their order list for Vinyl Day. Anybody hear anything different?

Well.. that stinks..  Need to call my Barnes and Noble

Keep in mind my local B&N didn't even know they had autographs last year, and nothing got stickered. I only knew because I saw the ones people were buying on Facebook and I bought the same ones.

So - to ask a stupid question - how do we know which ones are autographed.  Can you see or are they covered some how?

They usually have a sticker on them. I saw a Maxwell signed one the other day, like everyone else all Ive seen are different color variations of the vinyl. Not very exciting.

The Brian Wilson one last year had a sticker on the front.
My store had no stickers on anything, and most of last years autographs were on inserts, not the album itself. Bad company had a song sheet, few had photos. Only 1 or 2 was signed on the outside.

Most were inserts, but the signed ones were clearly labeled one way or another. Brandi Carlisle was the only one where I remember seeing a signature on the cover.

I found two signed Vinyls:
1. Robert Ellis [B&N Exclusive] [Autographed Sleeve]:http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/robert-ellis-robert-ellis/29931170?...

2. Our Endless Numbered Days [Barnes & Noble Exclusive] [Signed Art Print]:

Those have been available I believe as has Maxwell
Okay, I'm at B&N right now, and the only signed anything I'm finding for the promotion is Dita Von These, and even those are randomly signed ( ie only 209 have inserts).
They still have the signed Brian Wilson LPs from last year.
