There were 3 women to ever play Professional Baseball (Negro League).  They were Toni Stone, Connie Morgan, and Mamie Johnson.  I have seen autographed balls from Toni Stone and Mamie Johnson but not Connie Morgan.  At a local flea market I picked up a lot of baseballs autographed by Negro League players.  The seller told me his neighbor would mail baseballs to the players asking for autographs.  Based on the balls (and deaths of many of these individuals) it appears this was done in the 80's and 90's.  Anyways, one of the balls was signed by Connie Morgan (with 1954 Indianapolis Clowns inscription).  I have had it authenticated by PSA.  I spoke with Memory Lane (flyer came back with the ball from PSA) regarding a value.  They said they have never seen a Connie Morgan signed ball and do not know the value.  They suggested that if I wanted to sell it to put it on Ebay with a starting bid of $1000 and see what happens.  I think the ball is pretty rare, but realize rare doesn't always mean valuable.  Anyone have an estimate on the value?

That is awesome. I was just skimming through a Negro League book last night and saw a picture of her. I am a huge Negro League fan and am friends with Leon Day's widow and I hope you can get a good price for it. From my experience (as you say rare doesn't always mean valuable) the Negro League autographs, though some are rare are way undervalued.

Are there any Negro League players you are interested in?  I've got about 75 of them.  All on major league balls.  No Jackie Robinson's.

Do you still have any of the negro league baseballs?  I would be interested...  If you have any you could e-mail me a list at MrSumo@txun.net.  Thanks.  Tom Zabel

I have a bat with 120 Negro League player signatures, all catalogued on the associated LOA by PSA DNA.

That's a nice looking bat!  I'm guessing it was probably from one of their Reunions.  I have a ball with about 40 signatures on it from the 2000 Reunion.  Did you get it on an auction?

Thanks for thinking of me, Mark. I really don't collect autographs anymore. I'm actually just trying to sell what I have. If you want to PM me a list and pricing feel free. I have a customer who buys autographs from me, though usually on the lower priced side.
Also, feel free to PM if you ever want to just chat Negro League stories/autographs etc...

I acquired this negro league signed bat years ago with the signatures of approximately 125 negro league players.  I have never seen this many signatures detailed on a psa dna loa.
