Hi, Does this Walt Disney signature look legit? The COA is signed by J.H. Brett of Autograph Authentication Services of Carrollton, TX. Thank you for your time.
Yes, that’s authentic. I would just make sure it’s not a color copy of the original signed check (I have seen a few framed up pieces where the signed check is a quality color copy of the original but being sold as reproduction). If the price is too good to be true, then I would think it could be reproduction piece, but if price seems right, then it should be good. I used to own a similar signed check with this nice fountain pen signature. Sadly I sold it a decade ago and they have gone up in price so much more since then.
It's a copy. John Brett (J.H. Brett) is a well-known seller of fakes. His business is America's Memories. He pretty much has any autograph you want--If you don't know how to protect yourself--including several Disneys, including this Disney/Babe Ruth signed page for $3,995.

Wow...I just took a look. Those forgeries on that site are so blatant.
There's also a neat little trick going on where, if you want to see the closeup of a given "autograph", it's like looking through a gauzy filter. I'm assuming this is so you can't get a precise idea of what it looks like.
