It has good qualities but I am rusty and don't recall seeing that curved of a baseline or that "f" connected that way in earlier years. Perhaps Etienne or JoeW. For now, I'll have to pass. Several letter formations appear incorrect ("wford") but it's been a while. I have to see if I still have all my CEAD exemplars on hard drive. I am probably being too cautious.

Here is mine 1952:

If you look, the seller is also selling a secretarial Bette Davis. So I am thinking my original thoughts about the Crawford - secretarial.

I see what you're talking about which makes me, too, skeptical. Too bad because it is a great portrait of Joan by Hurrell

It is obviously on eBay.

Here is a vintage example from that I am much more comfortable with:

Ah, yes. It's like night and day. Thanks for sharing some exemplars.

As she is by no means rare I would wait for a slam dunk example if you so choose. Is this it?

I  don't and won't argue. It is up to the buyer - it is his money and his eyes.

You can't press "See other auctions"?

Wait, you want the Crawford listing? It is on eBay, Hurrell, Crawford.

Don't be so thin skinned Eddy. It is usually a safe bet items posted here are from just a few sources - eBay figures prominently. You are correct, it was never mentioned, but I found it in the first place I looked. I always check certain sources when speaking to an autograph, or I aspire to. Context can be important, at times.

I think it's fine
