So I have been looking at Janis Joplin autos and there seems to be a big spread in value. One for like $300 to $6500. Is that really the spread or anything under say $4000 is fake? Or does the content eg. signed album or ticket stub has more value over other items. I am new to collecting higher end autos and don't wait to make the same mistake with the fake Beatles/Elvis autos. Thanks

Prices are all over the place, but a real one for $300 would be a major score. They usually sell for north of $1,000. There’s a real one on eBay for $3,500 OBO, although it isn’t the most desirable example due to some loss of detail. A signed album would sell at a huge premium over a signed cut.

Thanks BallroomDays67. I just thought a $300 Joplin would have to be fake.
