A 4"x6" postcard signed by John, Paul, George, and Ringo sold on eBay today for
$16,999! That's a confirmed sale price. It was graded Mint 9. Is it worth it?
You be the judge.

Auctions are a funny thing, at least with this they know where it was signed. I wouldn't pay that for this, you would have to have deep pockets.
Ya, I wish I could just drop $17K so easily.

That seems like an awful lot, similar pieces sell for about half of that. Are we sure that's a legit number and not a shill?

It was a Buy-It-Now. If a Best Offer was accepted, eBay doesn't show that, but you can go on watchcount.com, and it will show the actual price the item sold for. And WC is showing that it indeed sold for $17K.

Right, what I mean is do you think it sold to an actual customer, or is it just the seller with multiple accounts making it look like it sold. Usually if a piece sells for 2x retail it happens in an auction, not a buy it now. Seems improbable that someone would spend that much money without doing research and realize they are likely overpaying.

True. It does seem improbable.

It could also possibly be a non-paying bidder. You'd have to wait and see if any positive feedback is left or if it gets relisted.

It is a lovely set of signatures with plenty of certificates to back them up.

its obviously worth it if someone was willing to pay that much for it.  Its one of the nicer ones I have seen.

Yes, the piece itself is crisp and clean, as are the autographs. 50 years old and nearly flawless meets deep pockets, and the deal is done...that could also be the story. It's very eye-appealing...that's for sure.
Like crispy cream donuts, crisp and clean very delicious.

That's a FANTASTIC set of big autographs and it will be hard to top display-wise. The price is surprising for a 1963 set of Beatles autographs, though.

High-grade, graded, PSA/DNA sports autographs can bring super-high prices, but I haven't seen many nonsports graded ones. Could be an interesting development in the market.
