Is anyone going (or has gone) to Roger Waters Us and Them Tour and gotten autographs? If so, any tips?

I may go to one of the Chicago shows at the United Center, or the St Paul show. Any idea where to look for him or what times? Is it better to check the venue or hotel?

Thanks for any help!

Ive been trying to link the facebook video here but cant figure out how to do it! Need Eric or somebody to give me computer lessons! Anyway I will take part in this circus to get an item signed. I'm thinking of bringing him some cigars or something if anybody has an inkling of his interests.I will go early as I can as not to have to get too involved with the mob!

I think he likes Scotch. Johnnie Black should do. It was shown as some of his backdrop imagery in 2006? 1999?  Or look to see what he is drinking in his recent "The Wall" film when he is talking/drinking (perhaps too much) about his father Eric Fletcher Waters. Should he refuse your generous gift I will send my address :)

"Need Eric or somebody to give me computer lessons!" - Hah!

"I can't learn to play golf in a day, it would take me at least a week. I don't even know where left field is..." - Ralph Kramden/Eric on PC skills. ;)

Thanks for the idea! I want to bring something, even if he gives it away he will hopefully see a few people have some class.

I went both days to Chicago, besides meeting Roger and getting some albums signed (that will NEVER end up on eBay), it was kind of a scummy experience. I was in line behind homeless people talking about how the money they were making was so much easier than pan handling, and how high they were going to get that night. Seen all the dealers being surrounded by homeless people they paid off to stand in line, collecting 20 autographs right in front of the gate, with no respect that Roger and his bodyguards can easily see them. Heard one old guy that was working the parking lot across the street call the bodyguard a f***** and sissy because he didn't let him in the line. Seen a guy get hit by a car. People getting back in line after getting signatures, cutting in line, etc...

I'm definitely thankful for getting something signed that I know is real, and grateful Roger knows there are real fans in the line. But I'm glad that's something I won't have to do again. It was very obvious Roger wasn't happy the 2nd day. But he still put on an amazing show. I don't think I'll be buying many autographs on eBay anymore after seeing how scummy people get when it comes to getting them and taking advantage of the signers willingness to sign. I can definitely see why many refuse to sign.
The racc trusted sellers, should show Roger their trusted seller card and that way they wouldn't have to pay the homeless.

Please upload pictures of your signed albums....  Thanks! :)

I had quite a few pros in front of me in line when I met him, but when it was my turn I told him I enjoyed his recent CNN interview. He seemed really happy to have a fan in line who has even followed his recent activities. We even stood there and talked politics for a moment. You can tell he still really enjoys signing for real fans.

Here's the ones I got signed. It took forever to decide which to bring. I think my favorite is the Final Cut. Not the most popular, but one of my favorites. I thought the signature was really nice on all of them, but stands out really well on the glossy black Final Cut cover. I was also really happy with the Wish You Were Here cover... when I was looking to buy one I didn't see many that centered and bold... I almost didn't bring that one because I didn't think the signature would look nice on it. I got The Wall because it's probably overall my favorite album of all time... and Dark Side for obvious reasons. I love Dark Side more than 95% of music, but not my favorite Floyd/Roger album... but I thought it wouldn't be complete without having that in the collection.

I went to the St Paul show as well but missed getting any signatures by about 20 minutes (didn't try quite as hard there, Chicago took some wind out of me). I don't think the lines were nearly as long there, but I didn't see to be sure. I was hoping to get Animals signed... another favorite but I didn't get that in Chicago because the cover doesn't show signatures that well on the ones I've seen.

Minus the fact that Eddie Vedder sang Comfortably Numb with Roger in Chicago, I think St Paul was the better concert overall. Both were probably the best shows I've seen. I'm fighting my urge to buy tickets to another one haha.

Now the next question is... What do you guys recommend for displaying these. I went and bought album frames from Michael's, but they have rivets popping out on the back so they'll damage the albums, and generally bad quality. I want something that keeps the signature off the glass too, and UV protection. I might have to cut some mat board for the front and back if nothing else.

Congratulations! :)

Double post

Double congratulations! That Final Cut is the best all around IMO, but all super! :)
