Another great artist has left the building.

oh man, so unexpected.  I have a vintage signed Damn the Torpedoes , including copy of steve rosen radio interview where signature was obtained. Also have a signed guitar from earl;y 90s-on the back of the headstock of all places!

Tom Petty still alive
Now Tom Petty’s dead RIP

Very sad to hear.  He also did the voice of Lucky on King of the Hill.

A terrible loss that hit me hard.

Tom Petty was an amazing musician and song writer... very underrated IMO. I saw him many times in concert over the past 30+ years. Always a great show...   the first time I saw him was in the mid 80s when he toured with Bob Dylan. Hi music is always on heavy play on my ipod and in my car on XM station 31.

I guess if there is any comfort, he went out on top after a successful tour. Never got old or irrelevant musically.

I won this signed DVD through his fan club years ago. It's the only Petty autograph I have.

i actualy did market on this album Into the Great Wide Open . also alot of people didnt know he had his own indie lable called gone gator records that he started. unfortunalty my ex got the tshirt he gave me.
