Oh got it. I assumed we bought from the same store. This is still interesting though. I just checked my order number that was cancelled from downinthevalley and it was around 864450 ish.. however, my order before it (I placed 2 orders for 1 cd) is still in place.. same order number as the cancelled number minus 1

I think people are reading to much into the order numbers. Most of these indie sites are using the same e-commerce platform. It's why my orders from 5 places are only a couple hundred order #s apart. But the number of CDs allocated to each store is likely to vary. And I doubt most stores have an exact number of how many they are getting. They may have an educated guess. But likely just an estimate at this point.

So stores that got posted to big online forums may have had thousands of orders. Whereas smaller stores that weren't posted to big message boards may have gotten one or two dozen orders.

And then some stores may cancel all of their online orders and opt to sell in-store only.

Honestly, at this point it's a bit of a crapshoot.

All 3 of my orders shipped which I did not expect. Especially the 3rd that was still in my cart after being sold out. This means they received at least 200 based on my order numbers and im sure that number is actually way higher since I was not the 1st to purchase. Hopefully this isn't a mistake and we receive regular cds. We will see. If these come through, anyone thinking about purchasing on ebay should hold off until after release date. There will be many more available in stores. If you are unable to find any there. Ebay will be flooded soon after and prices will fall

I've not had any shipping notification yet, but think I remember I was fairly quick to order.

Maybe they are not sending these out by order number but some other indicator like name or address?

Just to be sure, you mean park ave? I received 3 emails with shipping notifications at 12:34, 1:18 and 2:16pm (central time) and they came in ascending order number but that could be a coincidence. The last 3 numbers for my 1st two orders are in the 700s and the last order was in the 900s.

The A7X all came through, but with a band that rarely has a signing like this, I'm expecting a repeat of the latest RHCP release.
