queen for sale at rr auction with estimate of $25,000. will it reach that?

If it does, it would be from shill bidding or from someone paying something like 70% more than it's worth. Omega just sold a nicer one in blue ink for around 7k. Same album. Signed about the same time, too.

Brian signed B May but all others are completely full. It's a nice set of signatures.

No, they're all full and pretty typical for the time. The little line that pulls out from the B on Brian was his full rushed signature for that time.

They may be thinking they'll get big money for this piece because of the bloated prices at the Sotheby’s auction. Problem is, many of those pieces are now for sale at lower prices than they sold for. I guess people are realizing that spending 10k on a shirt Fred may or may not have worn may not have been the best move.

Isn't the RR copy just signed later - maybe 1977 - 1979? All the signatures look very similar to those in the collection I bought that dated from April 1978. The Omega copy looks to have been signed much nearer to the time the LP came out.

Yes, I'd say the RR item is indeed from 77. The omega one looks like it was signed around 75/76.

This is the RR Queen:
This is the Omega Queen that sold in June for £7000—USD $8,800 back then. The signatures on the Omega are unusually well signed from my experience.

Innuendo, what do you think Omega's would have sold for if it was in the condition of the RR piece?

I'd think it'd push the omega piece closer to 10. But again, I still feel the 8.8 it went for was fair.

There are a handful of these queen 2 fully signed albums still in circulation. One of them was just as nice as the omega one shown here. But had horrible water damage. Covered Fred and one or two others. I don't remember off the top of my head if the boys did a promo signing for this album. But it is a rare album to have fully signed. I do believe the value for these are both around 10k at the absolute max. Frankly, I think the omega price was fair.
Then again, rr does seem to have random sky-high prices that leave you scratching your head from time to time, so who knows.
Steve, I don't think there's that much difference in the condition of these two albums. Certainly not enough to justify an 8 to 25k difference lol. Frankly, the signatures on the omega piece are nicer and just as visually appealing imo. One seems to be closer to mint than the other. But omega's I'd still consider good/great condition.
