IIRC, I remember a case of a Ringo cut from a book that was declined even with the book by a TPG.

If it’s the same one you’re referring to, it was actually declined by two different TPAs.

Yes it was tow different TPAs, I remember that too BallroomDays67

You're 100% correct Eric!

Well, 50% ;)

Stalger's comment from the last page... I disagree. Everything can be reproduced easily. Barcode stickers and art cards are a peice of cake if you can find the right medium.  This is what I said before. So many Elton Lockdown artcards exist that are reproduced with a fake signature.. receipts and packing slips are extremely easy if you find an example to photoshop. I will put money on this ending up the same as lockdown on a different level. Thats why I say, if you want this for your own collection, thats all good, you know where it came from. No one else will though

Here's a post I created about 3 years ago as one example

Totally agree Jason H! If you wanted this LITTER of a Letter "E" with an "x" for your own collection though, you must be pretty desperate and have pretty low standards for your "autograph" collection IMHO... I mean it's NOT even initialled "EJ"...lol

Hey, maybe Elton even had his sons Zacharty and Elijah, and husband David scribble out a few "Ex" for him :)

Addison Casey mentioned in the last page how this is a no-brainer at $21 for just a letter.. it could be something special for someone just getting into the hobby to have a tiny peice of Eltons time, but by that logic, $189 retail for all 9 letters (a full signature)  would be considered a bargain.. people are going to justify this in different ways and they will sell out. Not many people are concerned about what happens to $20 and to most its just disposable income they have to play with anyways.

Its just silly how Lady Gaga got blasted for an L, but Elton gets praised for an E since there are no surprises. This is going to set a precedent for other artists to think this practice is now ok if handled correctly. Sure Elton isn't the first to do this, but he is the first on this scale that won't receive backlash for it. That could be dangerous to our hobby down the road, but we shall see
