(CNN) – The U.S. Marshals Service has canceled the auction of Jesse Jackson Jr.'s fraud case memorabilia after revelations that at least one of the items may be a fake.
More than a dozen items had been up for auction, handed over by Jackson to be auctioned off, with the proceeds going towards the $750,000 judgment against him after he admitted to misusing campaign funds for private use. Jackson, a former Democratic Representative from Illinois, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison.
Among the fur coats and movie memorabilia was a guitar purportedly signed by Michael Jackson and Eddie Van Halen. Those signatures may be fake, the Marshals Service said in a release, saying that they had received "legitimate concerns about the authenticity of the guitar."

"Out of an abundance of caution, the Marshals Service will conduct a secondary review of all the assets," the statement said.
"Once the review is complete, a decision will be made whether to repost any assets for sale by auction."

Hopefully they continue the investigation thoroughly and throw all those crooks in jail including Myron Ross, Frangipani, Drew Max and his goofball spokesperson, and Tobbe Stoffe.
Anybody who buys anything touched by these lying criminals is a fool.

Marc Goldman, the president of Authentic Autographs Unlimited, spoke to TPM on behalf of Drew Max, the company's forensic examiner, whose name and signature appeared on a certificate of authenticity for one of the Bruce Lee items.
"The only thing he could tell you would be that if the item has indeed been authenticated by Drew and AAU, there would be a serial numbered sticker on the item, a matching one on the certificate, and that we would stand behind any authentication in a court of law," Goldman said.

Notice how they never actually say they think the item is authentic? It's always some convoluted mumbo jumbo about testifying in court.

What you wrote was important. Many Antiquites customers we spoke to who were asking for refunds under Antiquities' guarantee said that Toby Stoffa or Antiquities' lawyer told them that Drew Max would testify that the autographs were geniune. In other words, that Drew Max would testify against their customer asking for a refund under their guarantee.

So really what Toby Stoffa is doing is using Drew Max to install confidence in customers and then using him again to screw them on the back end. Interesting. Seems like if an item is questioned for authenticity you would think they would go through another party.
