The index card is way off, and I'm not a big fan of the WSS, either, but wait to hear the opinion of Steve Zarelli. His opinion is the gold standard on astronaut autographs.

I'm not a big fan of either but You should contact Steve Zarelli space authentication on the right side for a quick opinion! its right up his alley and I woudnt purchase an Armstrong without him!

Thanks folks, I've contacted Steve via his website and waiting on his reply. I agree the Index card looks pretty dodgy. As usual the seller claims its 'authentic' but with no COA or background. The other one is my main interest.

Your first Nail Armstrong forgery is listed by EBay seller 1Kateykat.  She has also sold numerous baseball-related forgeries.

I'm surprised at the scale of this and makes me wonder at what point I can safely buy an Armstrong autograph at all. I'll post another example separately that I was watching and welcome your opinions. Sadly I think after this they are all beyond my means.

There are A LOT of legitimate Armstrong signed items out there. Just be patient, and post any you're interested in here and/or run it past Steve before purchasing. My index card was a fluke. I wasn't even planning on buying one at the time, but the right deal came along at the right time.

In addition to how bad this forgery is, the BIN price is a dead giveaway. A legitimate Armstrong signed index card would go for considerably more than $275.

It looks that way. So this is the other one, and this has a BIN too, so I guess a fake also....

Having a BIN doesn't negate legitimacy on its own. But when it's ridiculously low, it should be cause for concern. As for this latest example, that image is too difficult to see to make any kind of judgment, at least on my phone.
