The UACC has contacted Jim Hayes on this matter.
For the record, Jim is a long-time dealer whose primary focus is Civil War.
Jim Hayes stated that he did not issue COAs for the items in question, and further noted that his COAs are notarized.
To my knowledge, there have been no images of the COAs in question, so this supports the contention they may not be legitimate.
Until someone can produce a notarized COA signed by Jim, I would consider these COAs to be bogus and not originating from the known UACC dealer, Jim Hayes.
Thank you Steve. I have returned the item to the original seller. Now lets just hope I get my money back.
The "COA" was hand-signed but not notarized.
Steve -- I found a picture of the "COA", for your review. Please see attached.
Again, thank you.
Nice work, Steve.
I hope Mr. Hayes will take action.
I have observed his name listed on dozens of Coach's Corner auctions for years.
I'd be shocked if this is the first time he has been aware of it.
