Amy Winehouse on Ebay!

now that she has passed as what seems to be an early age. what does anyone think with be the value of her autograph over time? will she be put up the way a Nirvana or Alice in Chain complete set or will she be more like Shannon Hoon (the guy from blind melon who we got THE NIGHT he died- he actually died on the bus from Phoenix to Texas as we got him in Phoenix). I see a Ton of stuff on ebay already. one guy has a PSA DNA signed Rolling stone for $2000 (more than michael jackson). other have exact proof photos. I personally never got her and none of the people who ever worked for me ever put on in my hands, so i have no idea what an authentic signature looks like at all. But it would be interesting to see what others think about this. I imagine her signature is pretty rare as it was anyway. wondering if anyone ever got her? was she nice? did she sign a lot when out? etc. again, i've never had her autograph in my possession, so i won't really ever know the answer to this question.

I cant see a Winehouse selling for near or even half as much as a Jackson would, I would say it all depends on the fan base as a Michael Jackson which is a much desirable auto to purchase and been around for many years since child hood compared to Winehouse that been around for only a hand full of years....I would not pay $1.00 for a Winheouse any day of the week...but thats just me...although I never seen one and the are probably rare do to her age they might pop off at some decent cash....If any....now is the time to start dumping before the forgers get wind and shell out there usual garbage to unsuspecting buyers

Theres lots of stuff on there sold as "copies" of authentic items which are just copies of garbage forgeries, that i see allllllll the time, as fire as Winehouse's auto I never seen one, but at the same time if anyone has an authentic one...NOW IS THE TIME TO DUMP !!!!!!!...dont wait, because after this train wrecks death dies down, no one is going to care...iam sure no one is going to care tomorrow

I have bought a signed photo of Amy for about $30 two years ago and sold it yesterday for about $250. But I have also seen signed items go for about $1000 on ebay/UK yesterday.

I really don´t know what to think about this.

Yes, she was a talented musician but she had never an impact like MJ.

I can´t imagine the value of her signature will stay in this area after the first hype about her death is gone.

If you want to sell, sell now.

While she was talented, she was never quite mainstream and certainly did not have mass iconic appeal. She will be a footnote.

Her autograph will not have long term value.

I disagree with you for once, Mr. Zip. I think Amy Winehouse will have long-term value. She was a real talent who sung edgy songs and had a huge fan base, especially among the under-40 crowd. She had a short, troubled life and was only famous for five years at best...really 3-4. She died as she lived. I don't know the quantity of her autographs out there, but there aren't enough now for sure.

$250+ long term? I doubt it. But $100 or so? You bet.

Hendrix and Joplin were never mainstream. I'm not sure I'd call The Doors and Nirvana mainstream either. When I was listening to The Doors my friends were listening to The Monkees and The Beatles.
