I just bought an autographed carte-d-vis of British actress Ellen Terry from Tamino Autographs. It's a beautiful image with a nice bold signature. I'm very pleased.

Tamino has many interesting items. Just wondering if anyone has bought anything from Tamino?

Caution.

Perhaps like many dealerships, might be best taking any items on a case by case basis.

Having said that, one of the jewels in my own collection was previously offered through them before I acquired it from one of their prior customers.  I had never seen anything like it before and it still continues to thrill me.

p.s.  I should add that I've never purchased from them directly, which actually seems was your original question for us.  The piece I have came from another collector who had purchased it from them.  I did a fair bit of research of my own regarding the signatures on it before I bought it from him.  He had told me it came from Tamino and I verified it by finding the image of it online from one of their prior catalogues.

p.s. It also had a PSA LOA when I purchased it which the Tamino customer had subsequently obtained for it after he had received it from Tamino.

I just popped a name in at random. Richard Burton. This is obviously not Richard Burton's autograph.

"From the estate of actor C.D. -a friend and colleague of Burton, who attended to this premiere and obtained this program signed in person." - Nope. Not true. Not a secretarial either.

14 days for returns, possible 20% restock fee.

"First, we strongly suggest that if you trust certain 3rd party authenticators more than us, do any quick authentication/s with them BEFORE you place an order, by sending them the URL of the item of interest - and then buy only if you get satisfactory results.

For items already purchased, you will need letters from 2 out of 3 of these authentication services: JSA (James Spence Authentication), Pieceofthepast and AutographCoA, in order to file a return claim to us based on this point.

We no longer accept the opinion of opinion companies such as PSA, Beckett and others. We do not accept returns based on only one authenticator - Nobody does, in this business."

No thanks.

They accept the opinions of JSA and ACOA, but not PSA and BAS? That’s a new one. I’m not sure what to make of that. To add insult to injury, they’ve combined the notorious Piece of the Past with two reputable TPAs rather than accepting the opinion of PSA or BAS. LOL. When they say “companies such as PSA, Beckett and others”, what other companies are they referring to?

JSA is has been passing rubbish lately.

Might be why that's his go to

That’s true, unfortunately.

Garbage. And he is so plentiful...

Not liking what I see.

This is not Joan Crawford.

This is not Orson Welles. And for just $200...
