That's quite the project. If you're on Facebook, check out our group called Star Wars autograph universe. A lot of the top collectors are members there, and you'll need to talk to a few to get some of those names for sure. Good luck.

Thank you! Sent in a join request for the group.

Just to give you and idea of what you are looking at.... These numbers include photos, cards, posters everything under the sun.

Graham Ashley 4 known

Maurice Bush 1 known

Ted Burnett 2 known

Eddie Byrne 10 known

Gilda Cohen 1 known

Reg Harding 1 known

Tommy Ilsley 6 known

Grant McCune 4 known (only 1 index card)

Larry Ward only 1 in existence (he never signed an autograph and his belongings were destroyed)

Marcus Powell, Des Webb, Anthony Lang, and a few others fall in the none proven to exist group.

Some of these are very minor names and will cost you more than a Harrison Ford or a Peter Cushing, others will be Thousands of dollars.

Thanks Pete, at least I know where I stand on a few of these. Has anyone tried to do any investigating on the rarest ones to see if there's any public documents or government forms with their signatures? It's almost like these are artifacts that are waiting to be discovered. Maybe not even to own, but at least to see in existance.
I have to assume these people signed checks, birthday cards, receipts. Not trying to dig into their personal lives but for historical purposes it would be neat to see.

Ward really never signed?

Wow. I knew he was rare, but I never realized it was that dire.

Ward was confused with a character actor that appeared in MASH as a general back in the early 80's and passed away in 1985 or so.

The other Larry Ward's passing kept people from looking for Greedo & Jabba Larry.

His sister confirmed that he never got any credit and was never contacted by any fan, never signed any autographs at all.

She was his only family and had nothing signed by him at all. His belongings & papers were indeed tossed after his passing. She lived outside of California and likely didn't even consider moving his stuff.

The only known signature is from the guest sign-in book from his Mom's wake & funeral service. It is a small clipped page with his signature, his sisters and one other friend.

I think I have Alf Mangan. I bought it years back from a guy in the UK when I was collecting autographs from people who were in Dragonslayer, Krull and Excalibur. Mangan was in Dragsonslayer. He sold me a bunch of other obscure names of stunt men.
