I have noticed it, yes. Especially since I probably have the best collection of basketball cards in California. But, I don't see that ever really happening with autographs that way.

I have also noticed that the value of graded sports cards has increased tremendously.  What is the reason for it?  I thought that perhaps it had something to do with PSA’s increased turnaround times.  That could also affect the autograph market.  I have not done any research.

same with concert posters 

there now selling for over 100k at auctions not autographed

I just looked and there are 315 “10” examples. That’s not very rare at all. Compare that to an autographed album or the like. 

it’s just crazy to me.

It seems collectables in many areas are going up in value. Retro video games are shooting up in price for many different consoles since COVID. Many thought the peak for them was in 2017.

My son (a sneaker head) is doing the "card thing" and he making huge profits by flipping unopened boxes of PRISM NBA and NFL cards.  Never seen anything like it.
