Be sure to report the seller for fraud.

This is without a doubt becoming more and more likely a case of fraud, I am not worried about getting my money back, they have mechanisms to protect buyers, so I wonder how he thought he was going to get away with it knowing that, as money is in escrow until I release it?

Having said that the images are exactly the same as the ones on the site sent to me by BallroomDays67..... so

Thanks for everyone's help!

It sold for $12.5K through Iconic Auctions.

You’re welcome. I wondering that myself, and was surprised to read that the money was placed in escrow.

You should start the process of canceling the entire transaction asap, and then report the seller for fraud.

Absolutely..... but then there is that silly cynical devil popping up on my shoulder whispering in my ear saying, ".... hold on a day or two, maybe his father did go belly up and leave him this treasure that he is willing to part with for a mere $250.00!".

Having looked at what I just typed, I better take your advice and start the process now!

Oops. It didn’t even sell. It apparently didn’t make the reserve and is back on eBay from Press Pass Collectibles.

Interesting.

Btw, Offerup is chock full of scammers. Be very careful on that site.

This was my first visit to the site, and I thought..... "wow, look at this, aren't I lucky!" Facepalm.

Happens to the best of us :)

Spend some time here and soak it all in - it’ll never happen to you again. This is THE place for sound advice and fair play.
