My daughter is a huge fan of Michael Jackson and I'm considering purchasing one of the following items for her for Christmas, but wanted to get an opinion from the kind experts here.

Option #1 - Owner claims MJ signed it for him in 1983 when he was 11.

Option #2 - Owner was chair of a physiology team to which the photo was sent in 1984.

Option #3 - No description of source but claims to have a "COA" but doesn't say from where - but my daughter is also a fan of Freddy Mercury.

Many thanks in advance for your opinions. I appreciate your time and expertise. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all of you!

The MJ and Freddie 100% FAKE. Not sure on the others.

Thank you! That's the one I was least interested in.

The 2nd and 3rd are both bad.  (2nd one is a secretarial, 3rd one just poor forgeries).  1st one has a shot but even that one is a bit weird, but also has a few good points too.  I'd look for option #4 or send #1 off to Roger E for his thoughts/quick opinion.

The first MJ isn't real in my opinion.

Roger E just told me that he does not believe #1 is real.

Where does one go to get authentic, signed MJ memorabilia?

eBay is a good place to look, but there are more fakes than genuine ones. Post them on this site for opinions if you'd like. Be sure to put Michael Jackson in the discussion title.

Buying with time constraints can lead to trouble.

Jerry,

What is your price range? It's hard to find a real MJ for less than $500 on the low-end.

I prepared to spend $500-$1500, so price isn't an issue. And I'm willing to wait until I find a good item.

Excellent! If you don't need it for a holiday gift, you'll often find more selection at better prices after the holidays. RR Auction's music sale is going on right now and they have a piece I love—a signed guitar.

The high bid's low now, $220. It could close over $1,000, or as little as $220...you never know. They add about 25% to the winning bid for buyer's premium.

It's unquestionably genuine in my opinion and a nice autograph:

They have a number of MJs in the auction. Most are certified or precertified by Epperson and they guarantee authenticity for 5 years.

I PM'ed you as I have an MJ autographed photo with LOA from Roger Epperson you might be interested in.
