Bad condition, but hoping a little home restoration work could work wonders. All look good to me but I’d appreciate any additional opinions - and I’d assume they date to 65/66?

1964

I would say closer to 64

Maybe June, 1964 in Australia? I moved this to the Beatles forum.

Looks real to me but I'd get proper professional restoration.

Looks good but how were you planning on restoring it yourself?

I maybe used the word restoration a little too strongly, I more so meant framing and flattening!

If you have bought it or do buy it I would definitely consult a paper restorer. Most of the grime looks to be removable and it might even be possible to remove the paper from the backing - without removing the autographs at the same time! I daresay a restorer would charge several hundred dollars but the appreciation in value should exceed whatever the charge might be.

Nice one...Looks to be from 1964. You can have it cleaned up...and then get it framed and matted...it'll look really nice...but don't touch the autographs!  I had a friend who had a set from 1963...signed in the UK...and he wanted to have it done over and I told him that the autographs...even though they had some wear and tear...were strong and don't do much to it...BUT...he did it anyway...and when he got it back...the autographs had almost been completely "inked over" by the restorer...Dumb! Basically signed by the restorer and not The Beatles...

I have a similar story of a full set which was worn down to indentation only. We agreed a price and he then ‘improved them’ by colouring in the indentation lines.

It's a nice set...get it cleaned the best you can...and enjoy it.
