Some users have uncovered potential autopen use within Bob Dylan's expensive art prints. Please check your prints if you own one and post a picture on this thread if you have any concerns.

*UPDATE - Let this be a warning to ALL publishers and celebrities in the future. We are sick and tired of these autopen releases. Our community has had enough and absolutely will not stand for this practice to continue any longer!!!
I want to point out that Coles Books needs to be commended. They made sure to look out for their customers and refused to ship these out if they came from the same S&S stock, which they did. It was also an easy process to cancel orders beforehand if you wished. Coles. on behalf of everyone, I want to thank you for having integrity and watching out for all of us.
I can NOT say the same about Premiere Collectibles. They refused to honor cancelation requests until it was known these books were in fact autopenned. They advertise themselves claiming they are collectors themselves. This is not true. They are a retailer first and only care about your money. There have been other autopen incidents where they absolutely refused to accept blame, stating items were real when they were clearly deemed autopen by the community. Be careful with future purchases with Premiere Collectibles.

I am creating this thread as a comprehensive all in 1 link for returns, refunds, chargebacks and claims made regarding the "signed" edition of Bob Dylan - The Philosophy Of Modern Song. Please use this link to email Simon & Schuster, Coles, and Premiere Collectables as 100% proof these were signed using an autopen machine.
I would like to say right off the bat, Coles Books in the UK is handling this professionally and seem to care deeply about their customer base. They have stated that, once they are in hand, If they find evidence of them being autopenned, they will cancel all orders.. Kudos to Coles.. I wish all retailers would follow their lead. If you wish to cancel your order with them immediately instead of waiting, It seems to be an easy process.

So far, there have been a total of 17 confirmed different templates for the autopen machine used for Bob Dylans signature. I am in the process of creating video comparisons for all 17 sets. Please post full page photos of your item as they are delivered to aid in this process
Here are all 17 templates used by Bob Dylan - I am still looking for full page photos for numbers 8,13 and 15 thru 17 but its still best to post whatever you receive
Be aware when checking against your own copy, it has come to light that they are possibly using 1st and last names interchangeably. Bob in #2 matches perfectly with Bob in #13 while Dylan in both are different

Dolly Parton is also guilty of using multiple autopens in the same fashion with multiple templates over the years but with a slight twist where they manipulate the page as the autopen machine writes her signature. If we are looking to stop all future attempts at autopen usage, she needs to be held accountable just as much as Bob Dylan and S&S. Link to threads below

If you see the responds this has gotten you understand that what he did was illigal. I know he is odd, but I cant say that I expected him to comit fraud to make a few extra millions.

I dont care what he belives or not - it IS fraud., and to be honest I belive he understand it might be wrong to sign something with a machine and then state himself online that it is "hand signed by Bob Dylan" - he might be greedy, but he aint stupid.
But what goes around in his had has realy know interest. The interesting thing is that we found out about this and now he must pay the publisher and art galleries millions in compansation

Dylan's statement of apology was surely written by lawyers. To prove a crime of fraud, there has to be intent on the part of the perpetrator. The statement was carefully crafted. It make the case that Dylan had legitimate reason to use auto pen, and that he was assured, and believed that it was a perfectly proper thing. Thus, no intent. I think the only penalty Dylan will face will be strained relations with his partners in crime, and the loss of income from this book. Same probably goes for the prints. He has good lawyers, and they protected him.

Like you say his statement has been carefully crafted. However there is no reference to which limited edition releases he signed during this period unlike Castle who are actually saying the signatures effect 2022 releases only. They are saying everything else released between 2019 and the start of 2022 was signed before 2019 ? So for example Asia released in January 2021 during lock down was printed and then signed before 2019. Do I believe that - not really knowing their appetite for making money. Better explanation please and where is the proof. It’s a problem when people are allowed to mark their own homework.

Well, if Castle had representatives in the signing room, they should have documentation to support this. Dylan might have signed blank sheets, like Dali did years ago. When they say they had representatives watching the signings, they don't tell what was signed. That could be a good indication that blank sheets were signed!

I own one of the Asia collection (Bridge) and have been in email touch with Castle about my suspicion that the signature is by autopen - it's too elegant and with the cross in the 'y'. A man replied quickly that Castle will try to provide 'extra reassurance' that these signatures are authentic. It is standing by its claim that only the Retrospectrum and Monument Valley prints are autopenned. I think that I must give Castle some time and wait to see if I believe the reassurance.
Obviously Castle does not want to have to admit to any more autopen prints. Castle's lawyers may now be locked in talks with Dylan's team trying to ensure Dylan pays back royalties he received for the autopen culprits - maybe £8 million? Gross may have been £11 million - maybe an average 250 copies sold of each of 12 prints, plus perhaps 150 of the very pricey Valley.
I am also affected by owning Retrospectrum artwork - Castle said it hopes next week to send out packs and envelopes to return certificates of authenticity.

Thanks for the update.
I am in the basically the same boat as you. I own "Yellow Taxi" which is autopen and 2 Mondos that I am not comfortable keeping. But according to my rep I am not able to return them. I am awaiting the "Team" reply on these.

Why not post pictures of your two Mondos here so people can weigh in. Some of the pencil signatures others have posted are clearly not autopen.

Is it just me or do these look like they were signed by two completely different people? It's like you'd have to try to change your handwriting to make it that much different.
