Wow shipping before they sell out. This is getting interesting

I don't know why Im even posting this. Im on a real losing streak posting my thoughts and having the exact opposite be true.

BUT, what if the autopen copy that circulated happened to be a "sample" and the other books were actually hand signed? It was weird the person got the book so early, so possibly it was a proof or something like that.

That is one theory. But why would S&S pull back completely? If they were real, they would have only needed to prove it to Indigo

Indigo probably got freaked out after the Gretzky mess. Wanted nothing to do with it.

S&S sees proof of autopen we all saw, had to review with Dylans people, and figures out the issue isn't widespread?

I honestly think that first batch was autopen. It's been 3 weeks since Indigo cancelled the orders. My wishful thinking is that after the original debacle, S&S had Dylan sign the books under their book deal, especially when half a million dollars is at stake with the sales of all of the signed books. I guess we'll see in 24-48 hours.

You bring up another good point. Who is completely responsible if they are autopens? Bob Dylans team or S$S? If this started as something Dylans team thought they could get away with,, id think any publisher would double check something so simple to catch. If somehow the publisher is not at fault and celebrities are sneaking these in, we still need to set a president to get publishers to put in a contract that autographs must be hand signed..

To be honest I think this is all on S& S as it is coming with the letter of Authenticity from their CEO's or Directors !

So if they are fake - anybody near them - go round to their head offices in the USA with all  of your mates - take the media too for maximum publicity  and have it out with them !! Or is that just something I would do on a $600 item?

You are right. It is on S&S for sure.. but does Dylan deserve any blame at all? Even if just singling out the Indigo incident..

Does anybody know how many S&S currently have in stock after being on sale for 28 hours ?

As if they do turn out to be real there will obviously be a mad rush and however many are left will sell out in minutes if they haven't already.

I don't think that there is anyway to tell stock.

I feel like 900 books at $600 is a lot in the current economy. Plus they aren't allowing anyone outside of the US to buy them which will slow sales. I'd image a lot of overseas people would be interested. But I think you are right and we will see them sell out pretty fast if they turn out to be legit.

The fact that is one per person/address is probably slowing things too.  But if it's real they will fly out the door at S&S.

Yes that's true, some creeping onto ebay, of the 6 listed visible on ebay UK 5 are in the states, one has stated No returns LOL need to read the ebay rules and one priced at $2000.00  has Import charges of $450 when the others don't  ( you cant charge VAT on books !!)

Real or not there will be so many on there it will be a repeat of Renegades where people were nearly giving them away at one point!
