So I’m just starting this to help those still waiting on their orders or otherwise trying to sort out what they have. There are multiple autopen templates involved (see below). As of now, store is accepting returns for refund.

**Credit to AL member Sapphyre who first mentioned autopen and posted her example (on original thread). I was able to match it quickly to AL member R Buck’s, who also posted theirs early on. Thanks to both.

Not auto pen.

Agreed again.  Not autopen.

I agree, seems to be legit.

Just my opinion: I no longer want a copy from an artist who obviously sold autopen signatures - even if it was authentic. In the shadow of a doubt...

I agree with you. After I sent my auto pen copy back, I was like “meh do I really want this with the auto pen controversy hanging over it?”

This has been proven, made the press, been reported in the news, but these types of events do not seem to have an impact, say, six weeks later... it always seems to be brushed under the carpet without a comment from the artist or, more importantly, the distributor or record company.... I am starting to feel like my hard earned cash should be spent elsewhere....

You said it - on occasions like this you really lose interest in your collecting hobby and just feel disrespected.

Artists who allow something like that (and JBJ must have known about it ever since it was in the media) are artistically dead in my opinion.

Well said, and totally agree with both of you.

Unfortunately, it is called plausible deniability.

Even though these recurrent alleged scams make me feel sick, I am not one to refuse an authentic signature when I am lucky enough to get one.

There needs to be a class action against one of these incidents to stop the sense of impunity.

We can't be sure that artists are aware of it though. It could well be the record company and/or management people doing it without their consent.

Thank God for the stop following button

Looks good to me
