Clint Eastwood's signature is one that, like other autographs, requires careful evaluation before making a purchase.  He's 82 now, so there very surely has been different variations of his signature.  I found some authentic-looking exemplars; feel free to share your in-person or any other example you may have acquired, past or present. Please try to upload images big enough to examine closely.

Thanks

Interesting. I think it's jsa authenticated, which further proves that there are flaws in entertainment authentication; evaluating the actual signature and not the cert. is crucial in determining authenticity.

Yes the one's you show have more of a slant but still have a fluidity.  In your opinion are the others, besides the one in black, look like a typical Clint signature?  This one has the characteristics that you are talking about.    the others look closer to the black ink signature in my opinion (the red inked example looks in-between).  Post as much as you want.  The more examples the better.

Yes the red one is difficult to see unfortunately. I completely understand what you're saying; the "e" in his last name is slanted and the "loops" are irregular in shape. I wouldn't need to see thousands of autographs to see the "shaky" characteristic. Thanks for your input, much appreciated as always.
In most examples, including the ones you have shown, the second loop seems to be slanted either entirely or partially. The "d" also looks like a cursive "of," just to mention some characteristics that I have seen pop up frequently.

I can offer the two I own. Both are PSA authenticated.

The first is an album page circa late 70s/early 80s:

The next is a cropped image of a 10x14 photo that I believe was signed in the past 5 years or so:

item: 180892469440 Look at this Chris Morales version LOL, I thought his items were not aloud to be sold on eBay ?

lol @ "forensic proof". What junk.

I'm surprised that a UACC member would sell anything with a COA from Chris Morales, who is on Ebay's "Banned COA" list.

I consider it a warning sign when dealers list themselves as UACC members but aren't UACC Registered Dealers. The legit dealers that do that are the exception...not the rule.

I couldn't agree with Steve more. And when it comes to Clint Eastwood Autographs,

you should know that most that are for sale are forgeries.

Buying from UACC Registered Dealers helps, but try and study all the Authentic Exemplars you can get your hands on very carefully before making any autograph purchase.....

Bob,

There are no Clint Eastwood secretarials in this discussion, and those were the most common fake Eastwoods at one time. Do you have some to upload?

We did an article on Eastwood in 2004-5 where we pointed out secretarials. But years later I heard that we missed some. It was before we ran most things by authenticators before publication.

I only knew of one at the time. Hang on...I'm having someone scan the June 2005 article and I'll post the images.
