Got mine from them today as well. I ordered 2. The box was trashed and really had no padding or bubble wrap around the books at all. 1 got dented and has a bent jacket. The other is perfect thankfully.

That's Nice!

At that point I wouldn't be too surprised either to hear B&N are cancelling all online orders and sell the book in store only for BF.

Please don’t say that

Lol I doubt it.. Indigo clearly didn't set a limit for how many books they could sell. B&N sold out so fast they must've had a set amount.

There's no precedent for that and would be a dumb move by them.

I'm just curious how long Indigo's cancellation wave is and if I'm safe yet or not.

That would be awful lol

Well they’ve entered into a contract once sold - I think B&N will stand by that and they put just  enough  copies online and that they will be shipped - although i think they will cut orders of 10 down.... I've never had a problem with B&N but there is always a first time, i am still wary until it ships and it arrives signed! .Clearly Indigo Don't care about their customers  and I was correct in being very wary of them after warning of their terrible reviews  !

42 copies have currently sold on ebay and there are 4 copies currently on sale between $150 and $250 - and they are selling for that....  - i don't think there will be as many copies signed as people think and i don't think the price will lower much - if at all.

I was the one who warned people about indigo reviews.

Technically you're correct about both parties entering a contract (didn't seem to bother indigo), but in practice bookstores/record companies/artists do not care about their contract with the buyer when they cancel. In many years as a collector  I have seen a few orders cancelled, usually the very hard to get items or very limited editions. People do not bother leaving reviews when this happens so in reality there is no reason they should stop this practice.

No they’re not. They’re barely selling for more than $150. Listing ≠ sales. These will go down, especially after Black Friday.

coolkollections in the US just sold 2 in a few minutes for $140 / £100 and has 3 more left... currently 16 copies  on ebay.com ranging from $140 -$400 I checked a few seconds ago...and are selling for that  i'm in the UK not US

I'll be keeping mine if it's sent

Just a word of warning for anyone who may be banking on black friday for a signed copy, when I called Harper Collins customer service they said that B&N black friday signed editions were extremely limited so it may be like what happened with Derek Jeter signed copies several years back where most stores only got 1 copy and many got zero.
