I have heard about employees from Steiner stealing stickers and this autograph has me concerned.  It looks a bit off to me and wanted to get some opinions....Terrior and Chris Williams opinions extremely appreciated.

Has no Steiner card, just the sticker on the front.  What do you guys think?

ANY OPINIONS APPRECIATED.

The one obvious characteristic missing is Derek's "erratic consistency" as I call it.

Formation, slant, etc.

I certainly don't like it.

the photo is taken at an angle which can skew the signature optically, but it certainly does not look like the style he uses for Steiner items.

I agree, Terrier.

Anytime I see any autograph that I feel "uncomfortable" with at first glance, I stay away from.

I don't have much to add after the masters have weighed in, but I agree. It looks suspiciously uniform. No bounce.

I agree,  That is what I initially thought when I looked at it.  I've been seeing lots of Steiner items with no card with them and every single one has looked suspect...including the picture in the original post.

nice catch Jason

This one is from the same guy who posted the picture

Terrior and Chris?  Help? =)

that looks like the style that GAI was cert'ing.

Look how slow and methodical that "Jeter" is penned.

Steiner prints their own photos, anything Jeter from Steiner would have a Steiner logo on the photo itself. I'm not aware of any send ins for jeter they have had, which would be the only way to get something certed from Steiner that didn't come directly from them... So that plus the stiffness of the signature and no COA card I would definitely go with forgery.

Good catch, Mike.

Has has done 2 send ins in the past 6 months. Not saying this one is real or fake but they had 2 send ins.
