Long story short I bought an autograph off ebay from a seller named thumper114. Upon receiving the auto, I noticed it was dented while in transit. Upon contacting the seller, the seller had mentioned they had another photo that is exactly the same and that they will mail me the replacement. Is it odd that this seller has another photo even though they only listed the one I had purchased? (It was only listed as quantity 1). They do have other autographs of the same person but with different photos.

It is not uncommon for some sellers to have multiples of the same signed photo. As for authenticity, that's another matter. I don't know this seller so that may be subject for another day.

Depends on who the autograph is. Common signer or JD Salinger? ;-)

He's an IP collector from what I see, so he probably racks when he can - i.e. it's not unlikely he'd have more than one if the celebrity in question is a willing signer.
