6 months with credit card?  My credit card said 60 days.  Thanks for that information.

Sorry, typo.  Meant days, not months.  But yeah, it was a good two years in my case.

I consider myself one of England’s finest complainers.  I have a file somewhere with all the letters I’ve written to CEOs, etc.

This Dolly situation is appalling.  If I wasn’t getting my money back, I would definitely fight it more vehemently.  As it stands, I have other pulls on my time at the moment, so this one will have to be someone else’s baby.

Thanks for that correction so I won't waste my time with the credit card and focus on the publisher instead. 

I just open a PayPal claim and if that fails I will try the credit card than. 

Credit cards are up to 60 days only.  

PayPal is 180 days to contest transaction…

I was just thinking, if there's a Dolly forum you might get some traction with her team by raising the issue there. Probably most fans on there won't hear a word said against her, but it might be worth a try.

the min required by law is 60 days but most credit cards give you 120 days. I just did a charge back past 90 days and got my money back.

The book was purchased in October so almost 5 months.  Maybe I give it a try.

I'm not involved in this mess. I've heard too many stories of Dolly Parton autopens to take a chance. 

I am not necessarily convinced she is responsible. It may have been an assistant or manager.

In any case, I just wrote a letter that I am sending to her by regular mail at six different addresses I found for her.  Not sure if it will do any good but we'll see.

Any updates from anyone yet? I’ve heard nothing from Chronicle since the email from Ray saying that they are looking into it. 

Nothing yet here either. I’ll probably give them until first of week before filing dispute with PayPal.

Honestly surprised they haven’t just issued a denial yet, hoping it’s a good sign but who knows…
