Wash, rinse, repeat...

My thoughts exactly!

Anyone heard anything from Chronicle or Premiere? I emailed Chronicle again with examples. I’ve heard nothing.

Nothing yet here either. I’ve also emailed again since that last response from Ray, still waiting.

Matt, as I think you, several days ago, said it happened with you, I took my first look at this Run, Rose, Run thread just out of mild curiosity--having not myself purchased a copy of that book--as first reports and suspicions started rolling in.

It will be interesting to see how much longer Chronicle finds it conscionable just to leave us hanging here.

Thom, I got my first e-mail out to Chronicle this past Saturday and have heard nothing whatever from them yet. I've been following this thread in morbid fascination since all the absurdity started to come to light last week. But the number of folks therapeutically confessing their bamboozlement by Dolly Parton and / or her management has become so large now that it's difficult to hold everything in mind at any given moment.

So I can't recall presently--did you say that you had ordered your phony "signed" Songteller directly from Chronicle? My own copy came straight from them. The purchase was in October, and I was thrilled to be able to score from any of the original firsthand sources so late in the game like that. And what a score it turned out to be! I suppose I'll give them a couple more days before I submit a claim to my credit card company.

Yes, I am one of those lucky ones, T.  I have followed up my earlier emails to a Ray Gonzolez, Chronicle Rep since I have not heard back from him. Fraud disputes with my credit card is opened up to 6 months.  I passed that 6 months by 4 days and was instructed to mail a letter to the credit card company with the invoice.  Suggest that you not wait and open up your credit card dispute ASAP.  Note that it is a fraud dispute (6 months) not a transactional dispute (60 days) with the credit card.  Big difference.  Good Luck!

Greetings to all!

Apologies that it's taken me so long finally to note here that I too am a lucky member of the Songteller third-degree burned club! I haven't had a chance to take a count yet of how many of us in the latter there are who have posted about this fiasco here on the board so far. But I remain curious about that number and would like to carve out a few minutes to check at some point in the days ahead.

I have the “signed?” Waterstones but only good thing to say on it is that the cover is better than the US cover. Just a question - Has anyone got any “randomly signed” US versions to see what they are like?

Just an FYI I open a dispute with the Chronicle for the dolly book. I enclosed the links to different Facebook pages and this year also different pictures. They never got back to PayPal so I got a full refund. Also I still have the fake.
