Brings up an interesting question about an authenticator who dies -- who will uphold their LOA if they are issuing it as an individual -- not as part of a company?   A bit morbid I know.

i had to do that for anuction about a year ago and they had those crappy fake coas from the earlier 90s and compies where signers on them are dead. 

u have to strat from strach from unknow or problem tpa and look it thatheres no tpa or any information and prove its real all over again
