I came across this signed note from Dwight D. Eisenhower which I found rather odd. It states that he is in the hospital convalescing and cannot supply an autograph. Yet the note is signed anyways. I'm assuming this is secretarial (?) but still find interesting that it would contradict itself like that? You would think it should have been sent unsigned? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Yes, The Heritage Collectors Society page from which the image came states,
"Nice printed White House autograph card, "with best wishes, Dwight D Eisenhower." Nice dark printed signature and a scarce White House souvenir. $45.00"
I chose the image only because it shares many similarities to your. I have no idea whether yours is also a print, I just raised it as a possibility. Best of luck.
I have a White House Card from President Johnson. It is also preprinted lithograph. Preprinted are very common. However, they make good collectors items.
My posts are not "taking" - I will try without a picture. This is an Autopen.

I'm seeing your posts, including those with the photos. Saw them the other day too when you said they weren't going through. Not sure why you aren't seeing them ?
You may want to run this by a presidential expert to check if it is secretary.
If I read the postmark correctly, this was two months after the D Day invasion. It may be unlikely Ike was answering requests at that time or was in NYC.
