Fleetwood Mac is one the hardest bands to complete. Most long time autograph hounds have not even gotten Stevie Nicks and if they had it is likely personalized. She is for the most part impossible, especially these days.

I have been seeing these signed (fake) albums and various items for several years now. Every now and again on the bay but mostly on random auction sites. You will notice the same "Thank you" with the John McVie and the "Thanks" Christine McVie with the same hitch and the end of McVie in her signature that shouldn't exist. The forger has scary skills and if they had just stopped at one I might be fooled but I paid attention, noticed the patterns, and flushed them out. Buyer beware.

I also complied some real items. When looking for iconic bands like this you want the piece to be a mess. Different pens, thicknesses, sloppy as heck cause it took 20 years to finish ya know!! That's not necessary but it is something I would start with. If you have images of more complete, real completes please post them. They are very rare so I only found a few with all 5.

best of luck collection Mac.

The photo is a member of forum. Davids I believe the one with psa

Possible, it is on ebay I think.

That's right Paul. Mine is the color picture of the band with the PSA sticker.

Per the request of the owner of the one the forged LP's I removed it. Just so you don't wonder why there is a hole.

lol, I jut realized I put two of the same one on there. Ah well.

Some of the ones you posted in the "fake" file look very close to being good.  Are you 100% sure that ALL of them are forgeries?  I think I've even seen some of these sell on RR Auction a few years ago (like this Rumours).

yuuuup. I am 1oo% sure these are all fake.

Here is one way to prove it. See the strat in my group photo? That was already discussed on this site. That is a 2000 model. Christine was in seclusion well before that guitar was even made that post was made before she rejoined the group. It shouldn't exist for this reason alone, again, this was already deemed fake by others as well. Now, anyone can see the same person signed of all these items. You can see, all the John McVie's are identical, in the same pen even, and most of the Christine's are too. The two different albums in the same gold pen by Nicks, the same M's in Mick... it goes on and on.

I guess one argument is to say they are all real cause had the forger stopped at one I would pass them as real myself cause he/she is that good, scary good. But this is were the experience comes in. I have been getting autographs in person for well over 20 years. I am a student of music autographs also so when I see something that is too good to be true it likely is. If I hadn't studied Mac's autographs and kept track of things like this I would be fooled also. The fact is Mac is right up there with Pink Floyd as the most difficult to complete. Nicks is in the top 10 hardest music autographs to get and has been for as long as I can remember. John is not all that easy either and Christine has been gone for x amount of years and most have not got here since the early 90's if at all and these have been popping up steady for several years now. I have seen dozens literally. Go look at the random auction house, you will likely see one in every auction cycle.

If I had to pin them on someone it would be Team Derek at this point, i could be wrong but this is there MO even though I feel like these fakes have been around for longer then them. They will write the 'Thank You' with the John McVie on almost every forgery cause they re dumb that way. They see one autograph that way and think he does it on everything. I got john several time and I never saw him to that. My guess is they saw one that was once personalize and the name was removed leaving the thank you so they just adopted it. BTW Team Derek is very good at forging but the issue with them they don't know when to stop. I see hundreds of there fakes every month on ebay, same people over and over live listed for 9.99 and now 10 other dealers are buying all their crap and re-selling in marked up. Anyway, sometimes you have to look at the context as much as the signatures cause while most forgeries are obvious there are some people that scary good.

I'm going to sniff out who is doing this before the end.

Good on you.  Another Holmes on the case!!!

whats your view on this stevie nicks
