I bought a Babe Ruth piece from Field Of Dreams at the Rio Casino a few years back and I have battling with them to refund my money without any success. Instead they tried to over me a replacement for even more money. JSA confirmed that this autographed piece was not authentic even though it came with a Christopher Morales COA. This has been an on going battle with them for years that has gone from the store to the parent company that sells their Franchise Licenses. All I can say is Buyer Beware!

Thanks for moving this, William! I'll bring the other messages over shortly.
Can we see a picture of the signature William?
Hello Eli, Steve is going to bring that over, i posted it on this mornings news about autograph alert.
This was purchased by me from Field of Dreams at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas a few years ago, I had it looked at by James Spence who came to the conclusion that it was a forgery.
VEGAS SEEMS TO BE A BREEDING GROUND FOR FORGERIES! IM YET TO SEE SOMETHING OTHER THEN A PETE ROSE THATS AUTHENTIC FROM VEGAS! PETE OF COURSE SIGNS AT A VEGAS MALL ALL DAY LOL!!
I agree Brad, a gazillion people visit that place every yer so it's for them to peddle their ware good or bad.
Keith Veltre at Art of Music one of the biggest dealers in forgery in the United States!!! He buys from Tont Tremayne of the nations most notorious forgers! Tremayne is being sought by the FBI but is hiding out Veltre still manages to buy from him. Veltre is the largest dealer in dead people anywhere ngets endless supply of the likes of Stevie ray vaughn, Michael Jackson, Marlon Brando, brand new Cowboy hats by John Wayne, Jerry Garcia etc!!!
This is a very elaborate, yet odd matting presentation. Does anyone else think it looks like a gravestone?
In my experience, sometimes elaborate matting and framing may be a sign that someone is trying to take your attention away from the signature itself.
I recently had to delivery bad news to someone who bought TWO Apollo 11 signed crew presentations. Very elaborate matte job with the signed photos, patches, name plates, etc., etc. Unfortunately, the signatures were amateurish horrible fakes. I don't know how much he paid, but it had to be thousands. The items were purchased from some "gallery" mall store that was going out of business.
My sense is the ones that show up here or get exposed through other avenues are just the tip of the iceberg. There must be millions of people who are blissfully unaware that junk if hanging from their walls.
Years ago my family used to be part owner of two FODs including one in Vegas. This was back when we had the only FOD in Vegas.
I just wanted to point out that what sells in this type of store is not just autographs. Our customers actually wanted/requested elaborate presentations. They were not just interested in some signed photo or piece of paper they were looking for a showpiece. Often they would buy the autograph then we would design a nice showpiece and have our framing company create for them.
My point is that just because an item is elaborate that does not automatically make it bad.
All that matters is if the autograph is authentic or not.
