Sorry, have you guys never been Rick-Rolled before....?

I have, a few times....:D

I wonder if those postcards are autopen

Why you say that? Does Rick have a history of autopen?

No, Kenny, I don't really know for sure. I'm getting knowledge on autograph collecting thanks to this forum. For example the autopen. I always was convinced that if a signature would match others would be authentic, until I discovered in this forum recently the autopen. Now I'm skeptical on everything unless the celebrity has a fame of personally sign or if they did in your presence. (or they come with a reputable COA)

By the way, I'm a fan of Astley but if a machine can replicate almost to perfection a signature why wouldn't do it if you have to sign hundreds postcards. Really even for a normal person is something tedious to do.

We can take for example the scandal with the latest CD of Ozzy Osbourne.

Any thoughts?

I have several Rick Astley autographs, all genuine. He's not the kind of guy who would do autopens. Have the previous album with a signed polaroid and it looks really nice, so I would definitely advise that option over a signed card.

Thanks, Dan.  That is very comforting to know.

David, I went through the fiascos with Bob Dylan and Dolly Parton so I am with you on those autopen issues.  Dolly Parton had a history and so I should have listened to the concerns.  That is why I asked if Rick Astley had a history of autopen.  Thanks to this forum, I was able to get my money refunded and try to buy from stores where I know I can get a refund if the issue comes up.  I also learned to use my trusted credit card (rather than Paypal which has a limit of time of disputing a charge) which helped me with that Dolly Parton debacle even though it was over 3 months.

Personally signed CD (£12) or LP (£25) of Are We There Yet at Banquet
