This is an interesting Hendrix that is now up for auction with a £4,000 - £6,000 estimate. Rather a wild "Hendrix" but looks real to me - and apparently to REAL too. The backstory sounds a bit strange the way it's told (it sounds like the vendor knew Jimi from 1967 - 1970) and the accompanying photos don't seem to have a lot to do with a cafe in the King's Road or a shoe shop but I expect the auctioneer was just having an off day, Here's the story and autographs:
PROVENANCE: signatures were personally obtained by the vendor in 1967. Jimi Hendrix and his drummer Mitch often visited his parents' cafe on King's Road, London. In the vendor's own words "I knew Jimi and measured him up for a pair of high heeled boots the afternoon before he was found dead". The vendor's father took two photographs of his children and Jimi in 1967 (scans kindly provided by the vendor).

It looks like Jimi started to sign Mitch’s page.
I thought that too...
I wonder what happened to the other Hendrix signature. I would guess that he signed another page in the same book, but it’s paired with a Hendrix from a different book.
Admittedly it's early on Sunday morning here but I'm struggling to understand what you mean Ballroom.
I think Ballroom is saying the side to side ratio of these signed album pages indicate two different source autograph albums. The inks appear different as well. Where is that cream colored page autograph Jimi apparently started signing on the Mitch page? Perhaps why is it not with the Mitch?
I don't think the colors of the pages means much. "In the old days" autograph books often had pages with different colors. I still have some that I used myself - around half a century ago!
Certainly, but the side to side ratio is different. Unless trimmed these are from different albums. I mentioned cream only to specify what is seemingly missing. Color of the pages really did not come into play. These also do not look trimmed from here looking at the placement and edges.
Exactly, Eric.
I was thinking about the OP under the shower this morning - as one does.
The backstory appeals to me less and less. First, the thing about the boot fitting one day before Jimi's death sounds way too good to be true. Secondly, if Jimi and Mitch had been regulars at the vendor's family café would they really have been asked to sign an autograph book? Thirdly, would the autographs not have been dedicated? I suppose it is remotely possible that the book was signed on the Boys' first visit to the café.
Books. Everything points to two books or albums. If they are not in the same book, from the images, then why not? This raises questions. Many of which you just listed.
