Harrison Ford. Need opinions, please.

Here is a Harrison Ford I received as a part of a trade awhile back. At the time, I had no reason to suspect it. Recently I have had a number of negative responses to it's authenticity. I am requesting members here who know Ford's signature to chime in. Is the genuine or is it so atypical that reasonable minds would have serious doubts. Thank-you.

I certainly appreciate your thoughts and participation in this discussion. We may disagree on certain aspects but I would fight for your right to speak out. After all, opinions matter. And this is a hobby full of opinions.

It seems I am repeating myself here on a number of things. If K9 wanted a rejection letter as a condition I would certainly honor his request. If I would disagree with him on that condition then I would be in the wrong to do so. He has my email and I am easily reached. I have contacted him a number of times concerning this and he has responded once.

How anyone runs their business is up to them. It's not the first time I have eaten an autograph and likely will not be the last. In the end, the marketplace decides.

I don't think you're "eaten an autograph" in this case, unless you traded a prime Robert Shaw autograph on a Jaws photo for it. Do you have a scan of what you traded?

Yes, I do have a scan although this is not the point of this discussion and it is now in the possession of someone else. Possibly K9 or one of his clients. The original premise of this discussion is about the Harrison Ford signed photo. If I had not shown the attached COA would the opinions have been the same? Not likely.

No sense beating a dying horse. I've had my say and allowed others to do the same without condemnation. I'm done and Ford will rest comfortably in my bin unless an intervention takes place. Also, not likely.

I did not intend to say that the guarantee should extend beyond the original purchaser, JXE. I do not believe that a seller should feel obligated to offer that type of a guarantee. What I intended to say was that it should not matter how an original purchaser acquired an autograph from the seller. It sounds like the seller made the trade with Joe W, unless I am reading this discussion wrong. Regardless, it does not seem to matter at this point. If in fact the seller has failed to reply to Joe W’s messages, there is obviously more to the situation than we are being told.

If I can interject on this subject. If an autograph gets passed around several times and there is a problem it needs to reverse the order one person at a time. Owner 3 needs to return it to owner 2 who then needs to return it to owner 1.

As you can see the way autographs are exchanged this can present a real challenge.

With all due respect, most people with things to sell are nice. That lends zero credibility to authenticity. If the piece isn’t passing PSA/Beckett/JSA, and multiple authentication houses at that, then a duck is a duck.
