This is being offered by International Autograph Auctions with an estimate of EUR 20,000 - 30,000. Supposed to have been bought at Bonhams in 2002 but I'm very sceptical. Any views?

EUR 20,000-30,000? You’ve got to be kidding. This is a known forgery style in my opinion.

Bonhams may have sold it back then, but I seriously doubt that they would sell it today. In fact, I believe they removed one in this style from one of their auctions.

Yes, things have changed a lot since 2002 thank goodness - at least at reputable auction houses..

There is also an Hendrix fake handwritten letter in auction in these days ...

Is this the one? Is it definitely a forgery? The back story does sound like concocted BS!

It’s definitely a forgery in my opinion. Someone has already bid 1,600 GBP plus fees. Ouch.

Jeez ... it's got plenty of watchers to. I have a horrible feeling it will sell for more.

Thankfully it went unsold in the end.

Here’s the one that was removed from a Bonhams auction:

With that Mitch and Noel I'm surprised it got into the auction in the first place.

The album in the OP apparently sold for EUR 12,000 (before premiums) today. Presumably there was a very low reserve since the lower estimate was EUR 20,000. I wonder why?
