How can one possibly authenticate an early Eddie Vedder signature? Is it possible ?

I purchased a Pearl Jam "Ten" album insert poster at the Dallas Guitar show in 2003 from a local photographer. I only know him as Mike, who also has a very cool Music memorabilia business called RockRattlenRoll  based in Dallas Tx. He has had a booth at the DGS for as long as I ve been going and I usually pick up several items from him every year, and he always has stuff that I overlooked the year before.  But that year I had plenty of time to dig as the show was winding down and what do ya know ? This happened to be folded up in a box under a table along with a bunch of random band flyers and small posters . When I saw it I had to have it. I asked him why it wasnt out so people could see it, He said he thought he had sold it years ago and had forgotten about it. I guess when you have that much "stuff" floating around  you cant keep up with everything when cash is constantly being thrown at you and people digging through everything. He said he had this and a few other things signed in the early 90's by Jeff ,Stone , and Mike and Ed but that this one was the only one ED would sign. I think there was a reason also why Dave didnt sign it either. One cool thing about though, is that Its also signed twice by Jeff because the pink pen didnt show to well with the pink background so he did it over on the word "Pearl". If you look closely you might be able to see it in between  Mccreadys legs. The down side is that it's personalized  "Mike, Thanks Man." From Mccready. He was the stage photographer for a few shows I believe . My question is , why cant I find ANYTHING online that will show me an example like this one of Eddies signature ? All I can find are 2 different examples . Is this something that can be authenticated ? I mean , all I paid was $50 and the asking price was $75 . he dropped the price Because of the condition and all.  And I dont think PJ stuff was going for the ridiculous prices they seem to be asking for now and I doubt many sane people are paying it . Has anyone run across anything like this at all in the past ?

Very cool, I know Mike from Dallas very well.  Anything you get from him is solid.  Eddie back then was doing all kinds of different signatures.  I've seen ED VED and when he did the tour with Mike Watt he would sign (and I mean draw) 2 boxes then a period then a box.  Very odd character back then.  This signature is fine though.

Thanks Roger , Yeah Mike is a cool guy and straight up . Would it be wise to take it to get a "sticker" or "COA" ? Or is this just something that is in to bad of condition to even consider as valuable. I need to do that with several sigs Ive had framed. Im thinking about selling a few items from my collection in order to pay for some other signatures Ive been looking at , and I dont want to sell them without some kind of proof.  This one just doesnt look as good on the wall in my opinion which is why ive never framed it. Actually I kinda forgot I had it . Its been stored up along with my "Bob Dylan" signature with COA from Southwest autographs ( they have been gone for a while ) ... Haha ! Now that one was a lesson learned that I will never forget .To anyone listening , never pay $200 for a Bob Dylan Signature. Your much better off just giving it to your old lady to go buy some overpriced shoes.

I would say 'save your money" in regards to a COA on this.  If anyone questions it that you are selling it to have them contact me.

Thank you very much, Roger !

I just noticed that my buddy George Gimark; author of "Punk Rock Diary" is in one of the pictures where Mike McCready is pointing his thumb at him.  He was also a Dallas DJ for quite a while.

Yeah, That pic is from Edge Fest '92. One of the first rock show I attended. I picked these photos out of several Mike photographed because I was at that show , and I thought the look on Mccready's face was priceless, pointing at your buddy and all . Wonder if he knows he's in the photo  ? If he wants one I know mike would probably give it to him. They are only like $5 a piece .

I think he was the 94.5 The Edge DJ alternative rock station. That might be wrong though

Nevermind .. yep . Thats the station he worked for KDGE . Gotta love google
