I put Beckett signature review to the test here’s the results

First photo is a signed Paul Mccartney album that was previously authenticated by BAS so I decided to take a snap shot of the sellers listing and (test) Beckett signature review, i am in no way trying to out the seller! This is simply a Beckett review test, in fact I’m very green when it comes to Paul McCartney’s signature and I do think that this seller has a legitimate Autograph,

the second photo will show my proof of submission and lastly the third photo will show BAS results

This one failed a Beckett signature review as well. Once again, I believe it was the signature review that returned the correct result.

007, this is just one of many cracks in our hobby.  The concerns raised in this discussion have been raised for years.  I trust Ballroom and Joe W on Paul McCartney autographs.

Thanks for the reply Mike Shepherd, it’s much appreciated, I just get a bit confused when I hear someone is the best at a certain genre and others members give it a thumbs down on the site,I feel like if most of the items I’m showing is truly not authentic then maybe Epperson isn’t as good as some say? Or maybe he knows something we don’t?  Whatever the case opinions good or bad are always best to be heard to help buyers make the right judgment on their purchase, and for that I’m truly grateful to have found this community

Thanks.

I would say that this is an unusual situation. I haven't seen anything quite like it before. I've spent a decent amount of time on it and believe that there's a substantial problem, and that you submitted a signature to Beckett that happens to be a component of that problem. As far as the result of the signature review, I would definitely go with Beckett.

Agreed, Ballroom.  James touched upon the substantial problem earlier in the discussion.  It is very frustrating.

Taken as a whole, I really think Autograph Magazine Live is the best authentication group there is. We have serious collectors here.  And yes, we all make mistakes, but there is so much knowledge here that the consensus here usually beats any TPA...it would seem to me.  That’s not to say there aren’t folks at PSA, JSA, or BAS that are knowledgeable, but there are people on this site that I would trust more than any major TPA.

Mike, you noted two awesome members above, Ballroom and Joe, and I would agree.  And three more that really stand out are Wascher (and Lizzie) for Michael Jackson autographs and Kamran for Madonna autographs.  In my mind, no TPA can beat Wascher’s expertise with MJ, and there’s no way anybody beats Kamran’s knowledge with Madonna.  And you and Pete are great with Star Wars stuff.  AML is definitely forgers’ worst nightmare!

I agree! And I would like to add the vast knowledge from Innuendo when it comes to Queen graphs and Steve Zarelli with space graphs.

I sometimes also ask on RACC for help with autographs, but some members there give their opinion without having any, or very little, knowledge. I like the shared interest and discussions on RACC, but I prefer AML seven days a week when it comes to help with authencity!

Pete is a Jedi Master, as is Mike T.  Thanks for the kind words, James.

Sold?

It’s up to $1,463 plus buyer’s premium in the current Iconic auction.

Got it.
