Jason, we all wish you good luck.

It's unfortunate, too, that those who sell forgeries take advantage of the "emotional attachment" many fans and collectors feel about their favorite athletes, bands, actors, etc.   They will say things like "Well if you don't buy it now, there's a good chance someone else will."  They prey on emotions.

The antique gun collectors are probably less likely to shoot their mouths off.
The bottom line here, Jason, is go back and get a refund.
Not only is that great news, but very refreshing news.  Like someone wrote earlier, they don't want to be connected to any kind of "controversy."

I saw Pawn Stars tonight (4/25)  and they used Drew Max for a Willie Shumaker auto.  "Look at the way he makes his "s" like an "8", it's certainly authentic."  He also looked at a Who signed autograph, "Yup, it's real."  Do the producers have any idea what the collecting world thinks of this guy? I guess the real question would be, do they care. He comes off as a knowledgable and confident guy for sure, but that may be his schtick. I am told, via google search, "Is Pawn Stars real or Fake", that the show is a set up for sure.  No one really loses money.  It seems that it is all done for entertainment value.  Take some time and google the above phrase and read all the stories for yourself, it's pretty interesting.  Most reality shows are fake...as are autographs that seem too good to be true.

Stu

It's amazing the Drew comes in with his briefcase and huge magnifying glass and no exemplars.  Below is a photograph from an auction that was recently removed.   I think that says it all.

What is this from? Wow....

Correct, Roger Epperson!

The writing and the autographs of Lennon and Ono are fakes and belongs to the famous "Southern California Fakes".
