I think this might be a case where we can agree to disagree with our opinions...and that's certainly ok.
I recently had an autograph that had varying opinions given about it. That allowed me to sift through these various thoughts on the signature which was helpful. I could then make an informed opinion myself about authenticity that I am comfortable with.....coming to agreement with some given, disagreeing with others but grateful for all who weighed in.
Mupplver- I just noticed your post about your Ingrid. I would agree with you that the "I" looks different than we might be accustomed to seeing.
Having said that, I just did a quick search and quickly came up with this example from the Kuflik collection which is a great resource of vintage Hollywood. I'd concur with Eric and Steve and call yours real.
I am only trying to follow the evolution and timeline of Ingrid's autograph. Using the term "different I" in Etienne's post, does the autograph originate around the 1942 Casablanca or the 1956 "Paris" Kuflik collection photo, or the entire time. Anyone with dated items are most welcome.
Mupplvr, yours looks fine.
And on a nice Munich Warner Brothers Casablanca card!
