Is this Derek Jeter autographed baseball "signed in person" authentic?

I was told this ball was signed in person at Spring Training around 2003 or so. Do you think it's an authentic signature? Thanks.

Well this is tricky....I know for certain Jeter's auto did not look like that in 03...this "looks" like an earlier style auto...more like a 97 or so...and also if it was a spring training freebee it would most certainly NOT be on the sweet spot because DJ does not EVER sign on the sweet spot when its a free auto unless its a charity event or being payed for... not saying its not possible but I personally never seen one...plus the formation of the autograph...although he signs incredibly bad for free the time the seller claims he got it...the formation....the placement and the style don't match up...so I would say...I wouldn't purchase it just because the story and everything else does not match up...plus there is more negatives then positives in the style so I would say don't buy it...unless it comes with PSA or a JSA letter that says other wise...I would not purchase this ball.

CEE I agree with you on this one, when I first looked at it I didn't like it, but I thought maybe it was in in person quickie.  there are at least 3 points I dont like, plus it looks slowly written in some areas.  I wouldn't but it either.
